Two civilians were killed on Tuesday evening by the explosion of an improvised explosive device planted by the Houthi militia in the Yafres junction area of Jabal Habashi district, southwest of Taiz Governorate. Local sources reported that the device detonated as a motorcycle carrying the two civilians passed by a school in the Yafres junction, towards Taiz Governorate. The explosion resulted in their deaths and the complete incineration of their bodies. The sources added that residents were unable to reach the victims to provide aid. Their bodies remain at the scene on the asphalt road, amid urgent calls for intervention to retrieve them. Residents have appealed to the Red Crescent and relevant authorities to quickly reach the incident site, retrieve the bodies of the victims, and take necessary measures to secure the area from any other explosive devices or mines planted by the militia. |
