World Bank Plans Agricultural and Development Projects in Hadramout and Lahj

The World Bank is planning to fund agricultural and development projects in Hadramout and Lahj governorate in the near future.

A meeting between Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Fisheries, of the internationally recognized government Salim Al-Suqatri and a World Bank delegation led by by Nayef Abu Lahoum was held Monday in Aden

The discussions included projects such as Climatic and Agricultural Information Systems, in addition to the Wadi Hajar Basin Project in Hadramout and the Wadi Tuban Basin Project in Lahj, all of which aim to enhance food and water security in the targeted areas.

Al-Suqatri stressed the importance of these projects in supporting local communities and strengthening the capacities of government institutions, praising the World Bank’s efforts in supporting vital sectors and confronting the current economic and climate challenges.
