The Houthis carried out a new campaign of raids targeting the offices of five international organizations on Tuesday evening in Sana’a, detaining a number of their staff, looting important assets, and remaining stationed inside several of them, local sources said

Offices of the organizations “Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF),” “Islamic Relief Worldwide,” “Action Against Hunger,” “Human Appeal,” and the French organization “ACTED” were targeted.

Armed Houthi elements stationed themselves inside the Médecins Sans Frontières office and detained a number of staff inside the building. They also confiscated assets and important documents from the office of Islamic Relief Worldwide, located on Hadda Street in central Sana’a.

This campaign comes amidst escalating restrictions imposed on international organizations by the Houthi rebels who are still detaining 59 UN organization staff members, accusing them with offenses including espionage for hostile countries.

The United Nations warned about the campaign’s impact on the flow of humanitarian aid and the exacerbation of the humanitarian suffering in Yemen.
