Three Killed in Separate Shootings in Ibb Amid Security Deterioration

Three citizens have been killed in two separate armed attacks in the province of Ibb, highlighting a severe security breakdown in the region.

In the first incident, two individuals were fatally shot by an assailant identified as Mohammed Abdulraqeeb Al-Munaei in the Naqil Al-Aqab area of Habish District, north of the province. The perpetrator reportedly killed his uncle, Ahmed Mohammed Qassim Al-Munaei, and then another citizen, Abdullah Shaalan Al-Aqab, before fleeing the scene.

Local sources indicated that the suspect was apprehended by citizens and handed over to the relevant authorities following the attack.

In a second incident, a man was shot and killed in the Al-Oudain District, west of Ibb, following a dispute over qat trees. The victim was identified as Wadea Ali Saleh Mashjah, and the alleged assailant is Sadiq Ali Al-Shehari.

The province of Ibb has been experiencing near-daily criminal incidents, with escalating insecurity across its districts, which are under the control of Houthi militias.
