A citizen, Talal Mahdi Saifan, was killed by direct gunfire following a verbal altercation in a popular market in Saada Governorate, northwest Yemen. The assailant's cousin then slapped the victim, prompting Saifan to retaliate by slapping him in self-defense. Sources confirmed that the dispute did not initially involve any armed confrontation. However, the assailant later returned with a firearm and discharged six shots directly at Saifan, resulting in his immediate death. Following the incident, relevant authorities apprehended and detained the perpetrator.
