The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) reported that that it’s teams in Yemen have provided life-saving services to more than one million people across the country since 2015, amid ongoing humanitarian challenges and conflict-related disruptions.
UNFPA support provided through its network of reproductive health clinics, mobile teams, and community outreach programs, included maternal health care, psycho social services, and protection assistance for women and girls.
The agency emphasized that its interventions have been vital in areas affected by displacement, poverty, and limited access to health infrastructure.
UNFPA’s representative in Yemen said “Despite the operational challenges, we continue to expand our reach and impact.”
Yemen remains one of the world’s most complex humanitarian emergencies, with millions in need of assistance.
The agency called for continued donor support to maintain and scale up its operations, noting that sustained funding is essential to meet growing needs and protect lives.
